Walk One: Central Station to Crown Street circuit
Overview: From Central Station, exit at the corner of Devonshire and Chalmers
Streets, walk straight ahead along Devonshire past Crown St and around through
Bourke and down Fitzroy, Flinders and Reservoir Sts, returning to Central
Station via Eddy Avenue. Markets are held on the first Saturday of each month
in
Shannon Park, on the corner of Crown and Foveaux Sts.
Start at the Central Station rear exit at the corner of Devonshire St and
Chalmers St. Walk straight ahead up Devonshire St.
Cross over the Crown St intersection then turn left into Esther Lane,
then right into Esther St, and then left
into Raper St.
Here you will find the Brett Whiteley Studio complete with
the current
exhibition, an open section of his workspace, and various literature.
You can also watch videos of his life in a relaxed atmosphere.

Brett Whiteley Studio was his workplace and home, and you can experience
the studio with his unfinished paintings, art equipment, collections of reference
books and changing exhibitions of his work.
Return to Bourke St (exit and turn right out of the Brett Whiteley Gallery,
right into Davies St. left into Bourke St). Walk along Bourke St, cross
over Foveaux St and turn right into Fitzroy St for the next gallery.

At the end, turn left into Flinders Street for the next gallery.
